Dr. István Peták, a Gábor Dénes Prize-winning researcher and molecular pharmacologist, has been working in the field of precision oncology and the personalized application of molecularly targeted anti-cancer drugs for nearly 30 years. He is the author of more than 200 scientific publications. He is the founder and director of Genomate Health (Boston, USA), the founder of Oncompass Medicine, a visiting professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago (Chicago, USA), a research professor at Széchenyi István University, and a senior research fellow at Semmelweis University.

In the past decades, he and his team were among the first to apply various molecular diagnostic methods in the predictive diagnostics of drugs. Currently, he and his team are pioneers in the development of an artificial intelligence-based medical software that assists in selecting molecularly personalized targeted anti-cancer treatments.

Their achievements have been recognized by prestigious international professional organizations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and DIGITALEUROPE, a group of European technology companies. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, called their development the next medical breakthrough, and in 2023, Genomate was featured in the White House CancerX program.

In April 2024, Genomate successfully completed the medical artificial intelligence accelerator program at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, USA), one of the world’s most renowned research hospitals. The Mayo Clinic aims to improve healthcare for half of the world’s population through the AI medical solutions it supports. In June 2024, Genomate will present its latest results at the ASCO annual conference, showcasing the effectiveness of their AI-based solutions based on clinical experience.
