Head of the Bosch Group in Hungary and the Adriatic region

Dr. István Szászi is the head of the Bosch Group in Hungary and the Adriatic region, the head of the Middle and Eastern European Engineering Cluster, and the managing director of Robert Bosch Kft. He has almost 20 years of management experience. After graduating from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, he became a teaching assistant and then an assistant professor. In 2004, he continued his scientific career in the business sector as a project engineer for the Hungarian Bosch group. His management career began in Reutlingen, Germany, where he worked as a group leader, and then became the head of the development department dealing with vehicle control systems at the Budapest Development Center. This was followed by another assignment in Germany, and in 2018 he took over the management of the automotive electronics development division at the Budapest site. From 2019 the
He is the head of the Budapest Development Center and, since July 1, 2021, he has been the head of the Hungarian Bosch Group and the Adriatic region. He is responsible for more than 23,000 employees in the region, including managing the work of thousands of development engineers in Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. He takes a role in mentoring programs for managers, is a member of the Hungarian Academy of Engineering and a title associate professor of the BME, a member of the board of trustees of the Rudolf Kálmán Óbuda University Foundation. connecting industry into an ecosystem so that together, with the help of innovation, they create something useful and lasting, thereby strengthening Hungary's innovative power. His work was recognized with the Dénes Gábor award in December 2023.
