Dr. Kristof Schum is the Generative AI segment leader in EMEA at AWS. He is leading the consulting and technology partner strategy and implementation in the middle-layer (foundational models) of AWS GenAI Stack. After 5 years of management consulting experience and an MBA from Wharton, he joined Amazon as a product manager to lead Amazon Global Selling machine learning model building. He was teaching personalization, summarization and ML-for-business courses in Amazon’s Machine Learning University, while presenting on the aforementioned topics at AWS Re:Invent, Re:MARS and Nvidia GTC. In Seattle, he led the global Machine Learning partner team for 5 years and now, based out of Barcelona, focuses on the European Generative AI community.
